昨天是10月31號,10月的最后一天,晚上9點(diǎn)半,我都準(zhǔn)備洗洗上床睡覺了,孕晚期,嗜睡,但是也好,9個(gè)月養(yǎng)成了早睡早起的習(xí)慣,不僅晚上睡的好,白天精神也好,工作事情效率更高。不像以前,晚上睡不著,白天起不來。
這時(shí)候忽然,手機(jī)提示音響起,拿起來一看,進(jìn)賬了幾萬塊錢。
再一看付款人,是我杭州的新客戶。
我想,估計(jì)是珠寶包裝盒的訂單落實(shí)了,再一回想,大晚上竟然還打定金進(jìn)來。
有點(diǎn)不可思議,像以前國內(nèi)的客戶,財(cái)務(wù)必然是白天匯款,事實(shí)證明,只要你想做,什么條條框框都不是問題,半夜12點(diǎn)也可以安排貨款。
這批盒子是我們第一次合作,一個(gè)新客戶如此信任我們,是不容易的,而且她們品牌不僅是做包裝盒,還有其他物料,比如道具、展柜、店鋪裝修等等。
客戶是浙江的一個(gè)珠寶公司,就是為了想找好的展示制品制作公司,所以特地派了2位公司從浙江飛到了東莞,就為了找一靠譜工廠,不然她們大可以去義烏批發(fā)市場找盒子,那邊的盒子又便宜又多,距離她們又近,省的成本不是一點(diǎn)點(diǎn),單從這誠意來看,就知道客戶對產(chǎn)品的要求高。
客戶付了打樣費(fèi)做了2次盒子,合格通過,現(xiàn)在又下一批大貨,雖然第一次數(shù)量不是很多,我還希望就先這樣合作開,彼此先建立信任,先磨合一下,我作為制造工廠,并且是將這個(gè)行業(yè)做為我一輩子事業(yè)來做的,并不怕客戶會沒訂單下給我,就怕自己不能完成客戶的期待。
只要品質(zhì)好,今年沒有,明年也會有的,所以不著急。
以前收到定金的時(shí)候,多巴胺會活躍一陣,現(xiàn)在看到錢,卻沒有多大的觸動了,不是因?yàn)槲矣绣X了。而是,經(jīng)歷了這2年,我發(fā)現(xiàn),錢不是那么好收的,我不僅要做到和樣板一模一樣的品質(zhì),而常常都是為了要提升,給客戶意想不到的品質(zhì),為了讓制造一線的同事提升手藝,不得不想很多方法,雖然我們工廠沒有科技公司那么偉大,可是逐步對標(biāo)國際一線奢侈品的決心和理想早已經(jīng)種下了。
為了給客戶的完美的交付,付出的時(shí)間、精神壓力,都比稀里糊涂做一個(gè)貨大的多,我不僅這么對自己,也是這么對工廠,“工藝能不能做的比3年前更好”“加錢,你做不做”“必須按照我的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)去制造”,也是我常常對工人說的。
論語里說過“吾日三省吾身”。其實(shí)做展柜也是每天多次的自我檢查、每天反省,不斷提升工藝。復(fù)盤并及時(shí)更新,讓我們成長的更快。

Yesterday was October 31st, the last day of October. At around 9:30 PM, I was preparing to go to bed. Being in the late stage of pregnancy, I've developed a habit of going to bed early and waking up early over the past 9 months. This not only ensures a good night's sleep but also keeps me energetic during the day, making my work more efficient. Unlike before, when I used to have trouble sleeping at night and getting up in the morning.
At that moment, my phone suddenly rang with an incoming notification.
Upon checking, I found out that a considerable amount of money had been transferred into my account. Looking at the payer, it turned out to be a new client from Hangzhou.
I thought it must be related to the jewelry packaging box order we had discussed. Recalling the situation, I was surprised that they would transfer the deposit so late at night.
It's quite unusual, as domestic clients typically make payments during working hours. This experience proved that if one is determined, there are no insurmountable obstacles; even at midnight, arrangements can be made for payments.
This batch of boxes marks our first collaboration. For a new client to show such trust in us is not easy, especially since their brand not only deals with packaging boxes but also other materials like props, display cabinets, and store renovations.
The client is a jewelry company from Zhejiang. They specifically sent two representatives to fly from Zhejiang to Dongguan just to find a reliable factory. Otherwise, they could have easily gone to the Yiwu wholesale market, which is much closer and offers cheaper and abundant options. The fact that they went through all this effort indicates their high standards for product quality.
The client paid for two rounds of sample production, and after passing the quality check, they placed a larger order. Although the initial quantity isn't large, I prefer to start small, building mutual trust and understanding. As a manufacturer dedicated to this industry as my lifelong career, I'm not worried about a lack of orders. My concern lies in meeting or exceeding the client's expectations.
Good quality will always attract business, whether it's this year or next, so there's no rush. In the past, receiving a deposit would give me a surge of excitement, but now, seeing the money doesn't affect me as much. It's not because I'm wealthy, but rather, after these two years, I've realized that earning money comes with significant responsibilities. I must ensure the products match the samples perfectly, and often, I aim to exceed expectations. To elevate the craftsmanship of my team, I have to devise various methods. While our factory may not be as grand as a tech company, we have long held the aspiration to meet international luxury standards.
To deliver perfection to the client, the time and mental pressure invested far outweigh those of a haphazard job. I apply this principle not only to myself but also to the entire factory, constantly questioning, "Can our craftsmanship be better than three years ago?" "Would you do it for extra pay?" "We must adhere to my standards." These are questions I frequently pose to the workers.
The Analects say, "I examine myself three times a day." Indeed, making display cases involves daily self-inspection and continuous improvement. Regular review and timely updates help us grow faster.
