“我們主做黃金和翡翠,在當(dāng)?shù)刈饬艘婚g3層樓的街邊店鋪,預(yù)備裝修,你們工廠可以做設(shè)計嗎?”
這位東莞的老板娘是通過互聯(lián)網(wǎng)找到我的,我記得是9月20號那天還正好都在東莞參加香港珠寶展,她告訴我她的新店在東莞望牛墩,這可不就巧了嗎,在這個地方我們一個月前剛裝修好一家珠寶店,做了20多米展柜。
客人還沒有做好整體的設(shè)計圖,只是租好了店面,接下來就著手開始找裝修公司找工廠做展柜甚至還得找設(shè)計公司做設(shè)計。
我入行這幾年,越來越明白設(shè)計是越來越重要,從之前的純加工展柜到現(xiàn)在我們工廠擁有自己的設(shè)計師團隊,開始的過程并不是那么順利,因為審美能力雖然可以通過后天提高,但是先天的天賦也很重要。
這幾年一直在吸納優(yōu)秀的空間設(shè)計師,并且我是專注于鐘表和珠寶的空間設(shè)計,其余店鋪并不涉獵,對外要把整個店鋪設(shè)計給到客人滿意,對內(nèi)要拆解詳細圖紙銜接好各個部門,對圖紙的要求是每個主管員工都可以看得懂,每一個數(shù)據(jù)都詳細,不僅要知其然還要知其所以然。說起來設(shè)計師和繪圖員的工作內(nèi)容差別很大。
這次合作中間還有個小插曲,事情是這樣的...
由于我們是互聯(lián)網(wǎng)認(rèn)識,現(xiàn)實生活中沒有見過面,雖然她付了一半的設(shè)計費給我,去現(xiàn)場量了一下,但是客人還是持懷疑態(tài)度,她覺得工廠不一定能做得好設(shè)計。
她這樣擔(dān)憂也是有道理的,大部分的工廠設(shè)計毫無實力可言。我跟她說,如果我們的合作不是建立在彼此信任的基礎(chǔ)上,那我可以把費用退還給您。
設(shè)計和制作不是買礦泉水買個面包,幾塊錢有個標(biāo)準(zhǔn)定價,買坑了也無所謂。珠寶店少則投入百萬,多則投入千萬,每一步都涉及到大額money,如果客人不信任我們,那以后的工作開展是非常非常困難的,你的每一個想法客人都不會認(rèn)同。
而我做工廠做展柜的底層邏輯就是誠心誠意做生意,正心正念對客戶。要做自己跳一跳做得到有把握的事情,對得起客戶的信任,如果真的做不到,也沒必要砸了自家的招牌。
最后客戶還是選擇了和我合作,周日早晨10點約了我們到現(xiàn)場最終測量一遍毛胚的尺寸。
溝通了每一層樓需要的功能,我和設(shè)計師當(dāng)場也給出了3個方案,分析了每個方案的利弊,接下來回去花3天把方案調(diào)整好,花4天把效果圖出完,再有3天出施工圖,差不多10天內(nèi)整完。

We mainly deal with gold and jade, and have rented a three-story street-front shop locally, which we are preparing to renovate. Can your factory provide design services?
The boss from Dongguan found me through the internet. I remember it was on September 20th when both of us were attending the Hong Kong Jewelry Show in Dongguan. She informed me that her new store is located in Wangniudun, Dongguan, which is quite coincidental as we completed the renovation of a jewelry store there just a month ago, installing over 20 meters of display cabinets.
The client has not yet created an overall design plan; she has only leased the premises and is now looking for a renovation company, a factory to make display cabinets, and possibly a design firm to handle the design.
Over the years, I have come to understand that design is becoming increasingly important. From initially focusing solely on the production of display cabinets, our factory has since established its own team of designers. The process was not without its challenges, as aesthetic ability can be improved through nurture, but innate talent also plays a crucial role.
In recent years, we have been actively recruiting outstanding spatial designers, specializing in the design of watch and jewelry spaces, and do not undertake other types of stores. Externally, we must ensure that the entire store design meets customer satisfaction, while internally, we must break down detailed drawings to coordinate with various departments. Our requirement for drawings is that every supervisor and employee can understand them, with every detail meticulously recorded. It is not enough to know what is to be done; one must also understand why it is being done. The work content of designers and drafters differs significantly.
There was a small episode during this collaboration. Here's what happened...
Since we met through the internet and had never seen each other in person, although she had paid half of the design fee, she still harbored doubts about our capabilities, thinking that the factory might not be able to deliver a good design.
I told her that if our cooperation is not based on mutual trust, I would be willing to refund the fees.
Design and production are not like buying mineral water or bread, where a few dollars have a standard price and even if you buy poorly, it doesn't matter much. A jewelry store involves investments ranging from millions to tens of millions, and every step involves significant funds. If the client does not trust us, future work will be extremely difficult, as every suggestion will be met with skepticism.
My underlying logic in running the factory and producing display cabinets is to conduct business with sincerity and integrity, treating clients with a pure heart and positive intentions. We should take on tasks that we can confidently accomplish, living up to the trust placed in us by clients. If we cannot meet their expectations, it is better not to damage our own reputation.
In the end, the client chose to collaborate with me. We scheduled a meeting at the site on Sunday morning at 10:00 to take final measurements of the unfinished space.
We discussed the required functions for each floor, and my designer and I provided three design options on the spot, analyzing the pros and cons of each. We will spend three days refining the plans, four days completing the renderings, and another three days finalizing the construction drawings, aiming to complete the entire process within ten days.
