星期六四川的老板發(fā)來消息問:
“我問個行外話,你們的展柜跟我在當(dāng)?shù)卣規(guī)讉€木工做一些柜臺,他有啥區(qū)別?”
這是一個好問題,這倒是提醒了我,不能總是站在自己的角度去思考問題,理應(yīng)站在客戶的角度去。客戶很多是第一次制作,對展柜一無所知,第一次開店的概率很大。而我們天天接觸展柜,覺得每個方面都簡單不需要解釋什么細(xì)節(jié)。
四川的老總是做手表維修生意,以及想做中端品牌的銷售,要開店做生意,必然要用到展柜,所以他在網(wǎng)上搜索就找到我了,還正好是專業(yè)做鐘表展柜的工廠。
我明白客戶他想知道的是,幾千公里從外地做展柜這么遠(yuǎn),它值不值得,區(qū)別是在什么地方,現(xiàn)在賣貨客人一定是要貨比三家的、甚至是四家五家。
首先南北方包括內(nèi)地和沿海地區(qū)的工廠差異就很大,工人的制作效率,原材料的供應(yīng),以及對產(chǎn)品研發(fā)的程度。
舉一個最簡單常見的例子,廣東的服務(wù)文化從飲食上就體現(xiàn)出來,無論我們是工薪階層還是大老板,你是去高檔酒樓吃飯還是路邊大排檔,店家都會遞上開水把你的碗洗的干干凈凈,我剛到廣東還不適應(yīng),吃個10塊錢的炒粉都有這么高級的待遇,因此他們的飲食文化也影響到我們廣東制造業(yè)的服務(wù)文化,這是刻在大腦里的,我們對食客都尚且如此,更何況對待自己的準(zhǔn)客戶呢?
所以找供應(yīng)商最好是在廣東省內(nèi)珠三角一塊,曾經(jīng)和黑龍江那邊的廠子有合作過,當(dāng)時(shí)也是為了給客人節(jié)約運(yùn)費(fèi),看看同行的制作水平,結(jié)果呢,大部分材料從廣東運(yùn)輸過去,材料就耽誤了一周,合作前簽合同都說的天花亂墜的,一簽合同后,完全拋棄了契約精神,忘記了之前答應(yīng)的事情。
這還只是從工藝和原材料上的差異,還有技術(shù)和設(shè)備包括人工上的差別。我們廠積累了30年的經(jīng)驗(yàn),而且近30年來,迪士尼漫威、卡西歐、飛亞達(dá)等近百品牌,授權(quán)我們廠制作。有幾十家二小客戶的企二代走過彎路,最終還是回到鑫峰定制展柜。一個行業(yè)得以存在幾十年,一定有他們自己的秘訣和竅門,這不是新入行的工廠可以比的。
許多工藝在外地沒有,能做且做的好的就是在東莞和深圳,技術(shù)上攻克難題的人才也都聚集在這兒,我們自己做就非常明白,就舉一個最簡單的熱彎玻璃,在東莞光我們周邊就幾十家,我不是說他們每一家品質(zhì)都很高,但是至少在需要的時(shí)候,可以及時(shí)提供,哪怕返工回爐重造也是便捷,一有偏差可以及時(shí)到工廠里現(xiàn)場解決問題。在外地可能就在省會城市才有這個工藝。

This is indeed a good reminder that we should think from the customer's perspective rather than our own. Many customers are likely first-time store owners who have little to no knowledge about display cabinets, whereas we deal with them daily and may overlook the need to explain details.
The general manager in Sichuan runs a watch repair business and plans to expand into mid-range brand sales. Opening a store will inevitably require display cabinets, which led him to find us online, specifically a factory specializing in clock and watch display cabinets.
I understand that what the customer wants to know is whether it is worth it to have display cabinets made thousands of kilometers away, and what the differences are. Customers today will certainly compare multiple suppliers, sometimes even four or five.
Firstly, there are significant differences between factories in the north and south, as well as between inland and coastal regions, in terms of worker efficiency, material supply, and product research and development.
Let me give a simple and common example. The service culture in Guangdong is reflected in its cuisine. Whether you are a salaried employee or a big boss, whether you dine at a high-end restaurant or a street stall, the server will always provide you with hot water to clean your bowl thoroughly. When I first came to Guangdong, I was not used to this level of service; even for a 10 RMB stir-fry, you receive such high-quality treatment. This service culture is deeply ingrained, and if we treat diners this way, how much more so for our potential clients?
Therefore, it is best to look for suppliers within the Pearl River Delta region of Guangdong. I once collaborated with a factory in Heilongjiang to save on freight costs for a client. We wanted to see the production level of local suppliers. However, most of the materials had to be transported from Guangdong, causing a week-long delay. Before signing the contract, they promised everything under the sun, but after the contract was signed, they completely ignored their commitments and forgot their promises.
This is just the difference in craftsmanship and materials. There are also significant differences in technology, equipment, and labor. Our factory has accumulated 30 years of experience, and over the past three decades, we have been authorized by brands like Disney, Marvel, Casio, and Feiyada to produce their display cabinets. Many second-generation entrepreneurs who have taken over family businesses have tried other suppliers but eventually returned to Xin Feng Custom Display Cabinets. An industry that has existed for decades must have its own secrets and expertise, which new entrants cannot match.
Many specialized techniques are not available elsewhere, and those that can do it well are primarily found in Dongguan and Shenzhen. Talents who can solve technical challenges are concentrated here. We understand this very well; for example, when it comes to bent glass, there are dozens of suppliers around us in Dongguan. I am not saying that every one of them offers high quality, but at least they can provide timely support. If there are any issues, we can visit the factory on-site to resolve them quickly. In other regions, this technique might only be available in provincial capitals.
