今年上半年確實(shí)展柜外貿(mào)的訂單多了不少,相比于前幾年來(lái)看。
其實(shí)不是外貿(mào)客戶(hù)多,而是之前根本沒(méi)有去開(kāi)發(fā)國(guó)外訂單,國(guó)外高端客戶(hù)始終也是有那么多,卻苦于沒(méi)有門(mén)路,一直沒(méi)有做成生意。
昨晚一個(gè)客戶(hù)在后臺(tái)給我留言:
“hi,How can I buy your display”
隨即他就發(fā)了個(gè)微信的二維碼,好家伙,夠直接,也用微信,這樣聯(lián)系溝通就更方便了。
添加完地球號(hào)之后,已經(jīng)是晚上10點(diǎn)多了,這時(shí)候我都已經(jīng)不太想聊業(yè)務(wù)了,工作了一天,到了晚上頭腦都宕機(jī)了,我告訴Zad,第二天再聯(lián)系。需要做展柜業(yè)務(wù)的客戶(hù),都不會(huì)一個(gè)晚上一個(gè)小時(shí)就敲定下來(lái),要長(zhǎng)時(shí)間的溝通才會(huì)下單,所以不著急這一晚上。
一開(kāi)始,我沒(méi)懂,他說(shuō)的是要展柜,還是要展柜里面的陳列道具,就問(wèn)我要了個(gè)圖冊(cè)??墒俏业浆F(xiàn)在還沒(méi)做過(guò)產(chǎn)品圖冊(cè),只有一個(gè)公司介紹,還是中文版的,確實(shí)是國(guó)外生意做少了,配的東西都不齊。這個(gè)月一定要把圖冊(cè)和介紹冊(cè)做一稿英文的。
客戶(hù)后來(lái)發(fā)了個(gè)圖片,是我介紹里面的道具圖片問(wèn)我:
“Do you have more photos of this”“I need for watches please ”
這才明白過(guò)來(lái),原來(lái)他是要做手表道具,柜臺(tái)已經(jīng)有了,差一套陳列道具。
來(lái)自坦桑尼亞的客戶(hù),我還是第一次遇到,不知他們對(duì)品質(zhì)的要求如何,他說(shuō)“I have lost of connection with other business I think I can get you more orders. If the quality is good ”
“Please note delivery will be in Foshan that’s where my logistics Agent is”
并且說(shuō),物流只用發(fā)到廣東佛山市就行,因?yàn)樗呢洿诜鹕健?/span>
經(jīng)過(guò)一早上的討論,雖然我對(duì)手表道具生產(chǎn)比較熟悉,但是用英文跟客戶(hù)說(shuō)仍然有點(diǎn)不對(duì)味道,很多用翻譯軟件說(shuō)的不正確,學(xué)好語(yǔ)言溝通做生意可太重要了,如果我們彼此英語(yǔ)流利,那打個(gè)網(wǎng)絡(luò)電話就可以快速溝通,只可惜,英語(yǔ)都不好,只能翻譯軟件一來(lái)一回的說(shuō)。
最終確定了生產(chǎn)一款道具,是我們做過(guò)的道具,修改成他的logo,第一次數(shù)量不多,我告訴他也沒(méi)關(guān)系,就是價(jià)格會(huì)貴一些。
能跟不同國(guó)家的人打交道,也可以學(xué)習(xí)到很多經(jīng)驗(yàn),為以后得大訂單做下基礎(chǔ),畢竟發(fā)海外會(huì)出現(xiàn)的情況比我們發(fā)國(guó)內(nèi)的多。

Last night, a customer left me a message in the backend:

Immediately, he sent a WeChat QR code. He's quite direct, using WeChat too. This definitely makes communication more convenient.
After adding his contact, it was already past 10 pm. I wasn't in the mood to discuss business anymore, having worked hard throughout the day. I told him, Zad, that we could talk the next day. Customers who need exhibition stands usually don't finalize orders within just an hour. It takes time and multiple discussions. So, there was no need to rush it.
Initially, I was confused about whether he wanted the exhibition stand or the display props inside. He asked for a catalog, but I hadn't prepared one yet. I only had a company introduction, and it was in Chinese. Clearly, I've been lacking in my preparations for overseas business. I must create an English version of the catalog and introduction this month.
Later, the customer sent me a picture of a display prop from my introduction and asked:
"Do you have more photos of this?" "I need it for watches, please."
Then I realized he was looking for watch display props. He already had the counter and just needed a set of display props.
This is the first time I've encountered a customer from Tanzania. I'm not sure about their quality requirements. He said, "I have lost contact with other businesses. I think I can get you more orders if the quality is good."
"Please note that the delivery will be in Foshan, as that's where my logistics agent is located."
He also mentioned that the logistics only needed to be delivered to Foshan, Guangdong, as his freight forwarder was there.
After a morning of discussion, although I'm familiar with the production of watch display props, communicating in English still felt a bit awkward. Many translations using translation software were inaccurate. It's crucial to learn good language skills for business communication. If we both spoke fluent English, we could quickly communicate over a video call. Unfortunately, our English isn't that good, so we have to rely on translation software.
Finally, we decided on producing a specific display prop, modifying it with his logo. The initial quantity isn't large, but I told him it was fine. The price would just be a bit higher.
Interacting with people from different countries allows me to learn a lot of experience, which lays a foundation for future larger orders. After all, there are more uncertainties and challenges in shipping overseas compared to domestic shipments.
